DEF LEPPARD Looks To Video Game For Fans
May 9, 2008Sky News reports that hard rock band DEF LEPPARD has become the latest act to try to use a video game to sell their music.
The Sheffield band's new single "Nine Lives", along with two other tracks, will feature in the new version of the game Guitar Hero in a bid to sell their music to a different market.
Times have changed since the band's record-selling heydays of the '80s and they don't want to be left behind.
"There's no MTV as a video channel any more," says frontman Joe Elliott. "So to get the same effect, you're looking at doing daytime TV."
